Because That Makes More Sense

Sky told me to come watch her do tricks on the stairs. She was holding the railing and trying to walk down the wooden banister base. I told her not to do it because it's dangerous.

Sky: "Oh. But I'm being careful."

Me: "It doesn't matter if you're being careful; you could still fall. Mommy fell off a chair when I was being careful."

Sky: "Oh."

Me: "So don't do it. It's not safe."

I walked back to the kitchen to make lunch.

Sky (still standing on the stairs): "I could be really, really, really, REALLY careful. Because that makes more sense."
