I'm Pregnant and I'm Annoyed

Why? Why would someone post pictures of herself while in labor? And not just 1 picture, but a whole ALBUM of pictures entitled "Labor Days?" And why would she make it public on Facebook? I might have to delete this person from my friends list before she starts posting birthing pictures...

And one other thing. No, two other things:

1) Is it not weird to throw your own baby shower? Is that normal all of a sudden? Because I have now seen two women do that this year. And it's weird.

2) A pregnant belly is still a belly. If I don't let you touch it when I'm not pregnant, hands off. I swear, it is only people I don't like who do it, which is probably a sign of why I don't like those people right? I'm about to smack someone upside the freaking head!

Man, I am pissed today! Glad I got that out. Phew!

Stone

Too bad Hero/Villain's name isn't "Stone."

Because then I could say I killed two birds with one Stone.

Miscommunications

Communicating this whole baby-in-my-tummy thing to Skylar went wrong somewhere.

That, or I'm going to be a grandma soon!

Aww, Tiny Yucky Hair!

Sky is always complaining about "tiny yucky hairs" on her fingers. I tell her that's what happens when you put your sticky cereal hands in your hair, but it hasn't stopped her yet!

She just announced the presence of another tiny yucky hair. She said, "A tiny yucky hair, right there" and pointed to her thumb. As soon as I pulled it off her thumb, she smiled and said, "Aww, tiny yucky hair! It's cute!"

I love this kid!

It's a...

Behold, me at 19 weeks:

Oh man, now we can reuse all those clothes in Sky's closet. We are so excited! Yay for girls!!!

Taking Guesses!

Well, tomorrow is the day we find out what we are having! What do you think? Is it a girl or a boy?

Skylar used to say boy, and now she says girl...so that won't help you much. Either way, it's a 50/50 chance you'll guess right. GO!

Office: Done! (for now)

Well, we've finally finished our office project. Now it's a pretty blue with offwhite wainscoting! I don't feel like writing another post, so go check it out at The Sassy Pepper.

I love when projects are finished! And Mike definitely agrees. :)

Pound It, Cat!

I love how creative Skylar is. How many toddlers spend the time teaching their cats how to pound it? Well, ours did!

Hollow Day

Man, today is definitely a hollow day. Food: beware.

If you don't know what that means, it's because you haven't read The Hunger Games. I can't believe you haven't read it. What's your deal? Why haven't you read The Hunger Games?! You are so behind.

Funky Dreams

I have been having the funkiest dreams this week.

Most of them can be traced back to Mockingjay. But not this one.

In my dream last night there was a standing-on-one-leg competition. Four people were competing on the roof of a tall building--one person on each corner of the building. Those people were my dad, my grandpa, Skylar and some random Asian guy.

My dad and Skylar tied. Most people were betting on the random Asian guy, but he was the first one out.

Another main character in my dream was Manny from Modern Family. He was doing some karaoke thing and was specifically trying to sabotage one large woman. Manny was really bad at karaoke. He didn't know any of the words to any of the songs and it was a little embarrassing.

Then somehow we were in a big McDonald's playhouse or something, which turned out to be a Costco in Sparks. After we finished at Costco, I went with my mom and NickJosh to buy shoes at the VANS outlet.

Anyone care to explain, because...what the?!

Happy Now!

Sky keeps pointing out a bruise on my arm and calling it "Mommy's purple." That's right. I have my own purple.

This morning I said, "Yeah, Mommy has an ouchie."

Sky replied, "Aww, ouchie. Oh, Mommy's happy now. Purple happy now!"

I love that everything is "happy" to her. Any time she bonks her head or trips or bumps into something she says she's happy. If you ask her if she's hurt, she says (sometimes while crying), "No, Sky's happy! It's happy now!"

Such a positive little girl. I love this kid. She just cracks me up!

Popcoin

Did you know Skylar loves popcorn? You did? Because I didn't even know she knew what it was until she saw some Kettle Corn at Costco and yelled, "Oh yay!, Popcoin!"

Popcoin. You should hear her say it. It's so cute! I think it's my favorite word of hers.

So there you go, Mom. She truly is a Laney. She was born with a knowledge of and love for popcorn!
