Dip It!

A monumental first just occurred in the Comfoltey home. Sky, at a ridiculous four years old, just dipped an Oreo in milk for the very first time.

My initial reaction to her claim of living a dry Oreo existence up until this moment was one of shame and guilt. How could I have let this happen? Was she lying? Could the claim be true? Have I already failed at parenting? My heart ached at this upsetting news, as I'm sure yours does upon reading this.

Needless to say, I immediately remedied the problem and Sky is, as expected, a fan of the milk-saturated Oreo. Live on!

"Nose" Trouble

We've all been sick since Christmas. This is actually a great time to be sick, because no one has to miss work or school, so, bright side!

It's also been a great reason for Harper to learn how to say "nose." For obvious reasons.

Yesterday she was saying "boosh." I'm really not sure how to explain that one. That soon turned into "noosh." Closer.

There was a chunk of anything-goes time, because she was saying things like "bove" and "oobs." She does like to experiment, this one! And she has such a tiny nose, so why not try to give it a cool name?

Today she's been calling it her "nove" or "nofe." I call this improvement!
