Catch and Release

Amazing. For once we found a wild creature on our property ALIVE!

Mike went out to fertilize the grass and found this dude hanging out like he owned the place. Since we prefer to let our cat, Villain, do all the decapitating around here we decided just to catch and release the sucker. Look how proud Mike is of himself!

I brought Sky out to see because she'd never seen a snake before. She thought he was pretty cool and immediately tried to kiss him. Then I told her she can't kiss snakes because they are naughty and she said, "Oooh!" and made this face:

Other than Mike's claim that the snake was trying to "sqeeze [his] hand off" ("It just keeps constricting!") the catch and release was a success. And Mike didn't even lose a finger. Yay, He-Man!
